“We are not afraid to take a stand against corporations or the government when they ignore the rights of individuals. In fact, we often find new and cutting-edge ways to craft the law in favor of victims’ rights because we believe that where there has been a wrong, there has to be a remedy.”
— Gerald J Williams

Gerald J Williams, Co-Founder and Partner

Gerald J. Williams concentrates on toxic tort and complex personal injury cases in addition to handling consumer protection, civil rights, employment law, police litigation and class actions.

Born in Chadds Ford, PA and raised in Wilmington, DE, he inherited an affinity for underdogs from his father, a tradesman who fought to protect the rights of his fellow workers.

Williams received his law degree in 1982 from Temple University School of Law Evening Divsion. Before that, armed with a bachelor's degree in sociology from St. Joseph's College, and a Masters in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh, he held positions in the fields of mental health and social work, serving as director of research and evaluation at the Benjamin Rush Center in Philadelphia, and as an evaluation analyst at St. Luke's Medical Center. He was an associate at the law firm of Wapner, Newman & Associates before starting his own firm in 1984. A year later, he and Mark Cuker became partners.

Williams is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Both he and his firm have received an "AV" rating - the highest given - from legal publisher Martindale Hubbell.

Williams is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations, a supporting fellow of the Roscoe Pound Institute, a member of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.

He also is on the Board of Directors of Citizens for Consumer Justice and currently the Chairman of the Citizens for Consumer Justice Political Action Committee (CCJPAC) as well as a former member of the board of Cornerstone Savings & Loan Association.
