Kevin Haverty is an experienced trial attorney and member of the firm.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the federal district courts for New Jersey and the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.  He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial attorney and is engaged in the representation of people injured by defective pharmaceutical products and medical negligence.

He graduated, in 1992, with high honors, from Rutgers School of Law - Camden where he was a staff editor and then articles editor on the Rutgers Law Journal.  He was also twice named a Dean's Scholar.  He authored an article published in the Law Journal which has been cited by the New Jersey Supreme Court and federal district court of New Jersey as well as in several other law review articles.  From 1994 until 1997 he was an adjunct professor of legal research and writing at the law school.

Following his graduation from law school, he represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice matters with a small firm before joining WCB in 2002.  He was named a partner in the firm in 2008.

He has been involved in several precedent-setting cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Division as well as the federal district court for the district of New Jersey and has lectured extensively on various aspects of New Jersey substantive and procedural law.  He has authored four briefs as amicus curiae for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America - NJ (now the American Association for Justice - NJ) and has been involved in thirteen cases which have resulted in published, precedential decisions.  In 2006 he served on the New Jersey Death Penalty Study Commission the work of which ultimately led to the abolition of capital punishment in the State.

Prior to attending law school, he served as Deputy County Administrator in Camden County, New Jersey during which time he became a Certified Public Manager (CPM).  He is a 1981 graduate of Rutgers University - Camden where he was named to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities as well as Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society.
