The Nation article decries V.A. handling of veterans' disability claims Reporter Joshua Kors has revealed the current Veterans Administration's unconscionable delays and refusal to pay disability and death benefits claims by vets, including those returning from the war in Iraq. He shows that the V.A. uses a complicated application process and regulations blocking vets from access to lawyers to deny wounded and mentally ill soldiers their benefits.
