Jury Awards $78.7 Million Dollars in Hormone Replacement Therapy Litigation On October 26, 2009 a Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas jury awarded Connie Barton a total of $78.7 million dollars finding that her use of Prempro, a hormone replacement drug manufactured by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, caused her breast cancer. The jury awarded 3.7 million dollars in compensatory damages and 75 million dollars in punitive damages. Plaintiff Connie Barton was represented by Esther Berezofsky and Samuel Abloeser of Williams Cuker Berezofsky and the law firm of Littlepage Booth. |
