Jury Awards $9.45 Million in Hormone Replacement Therapy Case A Philadelphia jury awarded $9.45 million, inlcuding $6 million in punitive damages, to Audrey Singleton, finding Wyeth Pharmaceutical Company drug Prempro responsible for causing her breast cancer. In rendering its verdict the jury found that Wyeth failed to adequately warn doctors, and the women they treat, of the risks associated with Prempro and that Wyeth failed to conduct the tests that would have alerted the medical community of those risks. |
