Merry v. Westinghouse Williams Cuker Berezofsky lawyers won a trial verdict against a major elevator manufacturer in Central Pennsylvania. Dozens of homeowners whose drinking water had been contaminated with illegally dumped trichloroethylene obtained compensation. The Merry litigation was one of the earliest Pennsylvania cases to recognize medical monitoring as a remedy in toxic tort cases. See, e.g., 684 F. Supp. 847 (M.D.Pa. 1988) |
